Sushil Kumar Shinde, the former chief minister, MH, who approved two percent reservation in the constitution for Gujarati communities in Maharashtra, has been presented Gaurav Puraskar by the people of Gujarati society in Solapur.

Maharashtra Gujarati Samaj Mahamandal and Solapar Gujarati Mitra Mandal organized Bharat Gaurav Puraskar and Gaurav Award Ceremony in Solapur. On behalf of Maharashtra Gujarati Samaj Mahamandal, Bharat Gaurav Award was given by Solapur Samaj to former CM Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday, 18 September 2022.

Whatever I am today, I am only for the people of Solapur. Therefore, I dedicate the India Pride Award given by the Maharashtra Gujarati Samaj Mahamandal to the people of Solapur, former Union Minister and former CM Sushil Kumar Shinde said after accepting the award.

Sushil Kumar Shinde said that Gujarati, Marwari, Sindhi society is hardworking. That's why they are successful in every field. The Gujaratis who came from outside have considered Solapur as their work land. He has made progress by standing on his feet, it is commendable. Solapur Mitra Mandal has not conducted a single election in 84 years of its establishment. Society has progressed so well.

He further said that when he was the CM of Maharashtra, two percent reservation for Gujarati communities was approved in the Constitution. One of my two sons-in-law is a Gujarati Kapol. There is another Marwari. Therefore, it is efficient to live in those societies. So the progress of both the societies is quick. Other societies should also learn from this.

In Maharashtra, 50 members of Gujarati Samaj were present from Nagpur, Dhulia, Jalgaon, Mahad, Sangli, Kolhapur, Shrirampur, Chopra, Roha, Aurangabad, Jalna, Pune, Nanded, Mumbai. In which Dr. Hemrajbhai Shah was also there. Marathi, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Telugu and Urdu languages ​​are spoken in the district.

Samaj Trustees Bipin Patel and Keshav Rambia, Vijay Patel, Naina Joshi, Dr. Rajiv Pradhan, Kishore Chandak were given Maharashtra Gaurav Award. Which was felicitated by Sushil Kumar Shinde.
